Preparing to Sell

Before marketing your home, I will do a Comparative Market Analysis to determine your home’s value. This will help determine your key listing price. Homes that are overpriced may sit on the market for months, while those that are underpriced may leave you short on cash. I’ll help you determine the optimum price for your property.

Once that’s done, I’ll bring in the experts at Domestic Harmony to assist with a cleaning consultation and to help professionally stage your home. When potential buyers arrive, this staging will make it easy for them to see themselves living in the house.

Online Listings

Today, everything is moving online, and real estate is no exception. Buyers often don’t even set foot in a house they haven’t already researched online. If a potential buyer looks at your home’s online listing and sees nothing but dark, grainy, blurry photos that don’t show off everything your house has to offer, they’re going to pass. It doesn’t matter what the text says – pictures truly are worth a thousand words! That’s why I use only the best photos for my listings. In addition to professional photographs, I also make certain every online listing includes professional measurements and floor plans. Traditional Advertising

Of course, traditional advertising still plays a role in selling homes. I’ll have a yard sign out front of the property and add your listing to community newsletters and other publications. I’ll also host open houses. Unlike some agents, I always try to have a mortgage broker attend open houses so that potential buyers can speak directly to someone about finances. This way, anyone who is serious about your home, but doesn’t have financing can immediately talk to an expert about applying for a mortgage.
