Calgary boasts an abundance of Lake Communities across the city, and homes in these communities are some of Calgary's most sough after.
Northwest Lake Communities
Northwest Calgary contains the community of Arbour Lake. Residents of Arbour lake enjoy fishing, swimming and boating in the summer, and ice skating in the winter. This community was established in 1992, and encompasses a pristine 10 Acre lake.
Northeast Lake Communities
Northeast Calgary is home to both Harvest Hills and Coral Springs, and residents enjoy boating and fishing in the summer, and hockey and ice fishing in the winter.
Southwest Lake Communities
Southwest Calgary does not actually have any lake communities, however the southwest contains the Glenmore Reservoir and and extensive biking and walking pathway system. Some homes in the area have stunning views of the reservoir and pathway system.
Southeast Lake Communities
The southeast quadrant of the city contains the majority of Calgary's lake communities, including Mahogany, Auburn Bay, McKenzie, Bonavista, Midnapore, Sundance, and Chaparral. Residents of these communities enjoy a variety of activities including fishing, boating, swimming, and winter sports like skating, hockey and ice fishing.
